Massage after childbirth will support a smooth and quicker recovery time that will bring your body back into an optimum balance of health.
Massage after caesarean may happen as early as two weeks from delivery. You will know when the time is right for your massage.
Postnatal Massage Benefits:
Reduce muscle tension of neck, shoulders and back
Reduce stress hormones
Reduce baby blues
Reduce postpartum depression
Reduce swelling
Improve breast-feeding
Enhance sleep
Support healing from cesarean birth
Rebalance pelvic floor healing
Balance, Restore and support all bodily functions
Let me know the specifics of any discomforts or pain you are having and together we will find the muscle imbalances causing the problem. There will be enough support pillows to make you comfortable while laying prone (on your chest) or if you prefer you can be massaged in a side lying position.
It is ok if you do not have childcare for your newborn baby. My table is large enough to have your newborn baby snuggle and if this is the moment for feeding, nurse the baby in a side lying position while you receive your massage.
Wishing you the secret to sleep and a happy baby
