Left Hand Position: The thumb covers the nail of the index finger. Third, fourth and fifth digits are straight.
Hold this mudra/hand position for 5 minutes. Remember to take relaxed deep complete breaths as you hold this mudra. Think about how the feeling of relaxation is coming into the back and the pain is letting go. Think about how strong and flexible your back feels. Practice this mudra three times each day.
This might be a nice thing to try when you are laying on the massage table. I know a relaxed back will make the muscles more receptive to having a great massage experience.
