I like looking at clouds. My imagination often sees wonderful things. Like this angel with a trumpet flying across the western sky. The angel can only be heralding good news. I took this picture August 9, 2013 in the late afternoon. 

Have you heard the voice of an angel recorded and available online for all to hear? The angel is singing backup to Jason Upton singing Fly, from his album Remember.  This album also has the live recording of the song, They Will Know We Are Christians, that has three minutes of unified prayers that broke tornados.

I stumbled onto the song Fly on you tube. Like we do with many things when we are on you tube, can't remember exactly how I got there, but glad I found it.  The sound of the angel singing hits a healing cord in me.

I went looking for one album that had the angels on it and found four (Glimpse, Open Up the Earth, Remember, and Sunday Morning Live in Winston Salem) live performance  albums that I just had to have. The live albums have that energy that I need. I know I would enjoy being present at a live performance of Jason Upton.

After the floods in Alberta I found I needed more sound therapy healing music. I find sound therapy music that has alpha waves very calming for my mind. Alpha balances out the high theta that dances in an over stressed active mind.

I was using rescue remedy to calm my nerves several times a day. I found on one particular day my emotions felt very raw and tearfully depressed. I went home to listen to the new Jason Upton albums I had bought. I fell asleep listening and woke up to laughter as Jason was laughing and explaining, " got this guitar, it says, 'God loves you, but I'm His favourite.' That's the mystery of heaven, we are all His favourite."

As I sat up I noticed the emotion of depression was gone. The feeling of being exhausted physically was there, the emotional heaviness was lifted from me. A healing moment.

A Twenty-minute January 2011 TED talk presentation by Dr Deborah Rhodes on a better mammogram machine for dense breast tissue. This new gamma camera, MBI or Molecular Breast Imaging, does not create pain to take the image, finds 3 times more tumors; which is 83% more than the original MRI. Also the radiation levels are lower with the new MBI.

Searching to see if the latest MBI is available in Canada I found that the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation says no it is not licensed for the public but there is a clinical trial in place.

The wonderful news on the effect of massage for women with breast cancer is an increase in  the Natural Killer cells, dopamine levels, and lymphocytes. The benefit of massage reduced depression, anger, anxiety and pain and an increase in vigour.

The foot is healing slow, or it seems slow. I'm sure the healing process is really right on schedule. Bones do not heal in two weeks, and neither do deep cuts. Waiting for the scar. 

I have been sharing the information for Labour Massage and Obstetric Acupressure since May 2010 when I took a course from a world travelling teacher Debra Betts, author of Essential Guide to Acupuncture in Pregnancy & Childbirth.  Using just ten acupressure points can enhance an efficient labour and create a more supportive connection with partner(s). 

 July 2009 the course titled Massage for the Birth Year was taught to me by Dana Miller who was taught to her from well known Massage Therapist Carol Osborne-Sheets, author of Pre and Perinatal Massage Therapy. This course  provided me with advanced information on pregnancy massage and the seven massage techniques for labour that have a significant effect on calming and releasing tension and decrease back labour. 

A word about adrenalin. Wonderful stuff when you have to lift a car off someone to save their life. Adrenaline kicks in and you are super-guy. Now you are pregnant and early labour starts and you notice that this is it, today is the day. What may happen is things are going fine and then the surprise and excitement of the labour pains and getting things together and driving yourself to the hospital, ( yes I drove myself, and it was raining sheets that day in Vancouver) the adrenaline kicks in which slows down the labour process and can often stop labour from progressing at a good pace.  Massage and Acupressure can help to get things back on track and keep things working at a natural efficient pace.

I have the time right now since I broke a toe and lacerated the base of the fifth digit. Keeping it taped together to heal. Home is dangerous.

The plus side to all the down time is that I have finally made Your Daily Massage Guide for Breast Health booklet available online. I researched this massage technique and created this booklet for myself a number of years ago in 'self-defence' of my own issues of pain due to old sports injuries (elbow to the chest) that created  fascial tissue restrictions.

I know I have embarrassed a few men and women talking about breast massage. It is important to clear the congestion and keep the breast and the body healthy. There are many sites and books out there on breast health and some on massage technique.

Patients of the clinic have commented that my instructions are easily understandable, surprised by how tender congestion is, and they like that they can take the printed pages home with them to do the massage for themselves.  And now it can be easily shared with girlfriends without paying for postage.
