Marie Stephens from A Place To Heal reveals a great technique to increasing your health in her video "Stop oil pulling & heal your teeth the easy way." Stay Healthy.Massage. kimdeering.com/blog https://www.endocannahealth.com/our-dna/ You can get help no matter where you live in the world from a clinic in California that can match your DNA to the correct cannabis strain. The $200 US is probably very reasonable for the type of help that is available. I haven't heard of this kind of individualized personal health care support available any where else. This will be very good for those individuals that are having a hard time finding just the right match for the condition they have. I have seen on different webinars and heard it on the podcasts that sometimes it takes a while to find what will truly work. You can also connect with the very knowledgeable Len May at the clinic directly if you need more information. Be Healthy. Stay Healthy. Blue light from computers and LED lights will make our body sick. If you consume one hour of computer time you need 5 minutes of true sunlight. An affordable place to shop for glasses with your prescription from the optometrist is at www.zennioptical.com Have a read at the Zenni blog for more information and understanding of what the difference is between computer glasses and blue blockers. Another good thing to do is to replace the LED bulbs in your environment with amber Edison style bulbs. It has a rhythm that simulates and supports easy breathing of a resting body. It even has a subtle alarm that brings you back to the real world. This is my favourite 30 minute nap music. The below piece of 30 minute deep sleep music has no alarm at the end so it is good if you need a little support to drift off into a longer sleep. Be Healthy. Stay Healthy. Massage.
www.kimdeering.com/blog I believe in the medicinal properties of the herb cannabis. I have been listening to Cannabis Health Radio. I like listening to first hand accounts that investigates all the questions of who/what/where/when/why and how's of an individual got control of their health issues. The interviewers, Ian Jessop and Corrie Yelland, are very knowledgeable and ask all the right questions. I would list all the articles, because they are all good, but there is just too many since they post a new one every day. Once you are there you can look around and start listening. https://cannabishealthradio.com/blog/category/podcast/ cannabishealthradio.com/blog/2017/06/19/episode-167-he-eliminated-his-severe-ms-by-combining-cannabis-with-one-other-ingredient/ You can also listen to all the interviews available on their youtube channel. www.youtube.com/channel/UCn57GncDqxB7Sm8bY78EqBw Be Healthy. www.learngreenflower.com/events/cannabis-health-summit-2016-rebroadcast The California Cannabis Conference that I watched May 2017 was very interesting and informative. Watched a new speaker every twenty minutes. A few things I have learned from the experts. THC kills cancer. CBD is anti-inflammatory, anti-seizure, anti-anxiety, reduce neuropathy from chemo and diabetes. CBD prolongs the effect of THC and reduces the psychotropic effect. Be Healthy. Stay Healthy. Massage. www.kimdeering.com/blog https://www.green-flower.com/ How I was introduced to a new to me healing modality that has been around for over ten years was from an out of the blue, haven't heard from for awhile invitational text from a friend. I said yes let me know the date, time, place and the contact information and website of the practitioner. To prepare for my session I looked at the website of the practitioner Kasia, www.diamondwilloway.com , looked at some videos on the emotion code on you tube, ordered the book on amazon, and found the full audio version of the book read by the author (sometimes it is nice to just listen without a highlighter in my hand at the ready). When it came to my appointment I walked in, kicked off my shoes and sat down with expectations that I would completely release the trapped emotions that I had created/witnessed/experienced/inherited that are causing disfunction and disease in my body and limiting my moving forward in my life and career. I walked away from the session feeling lighter, peaceful and having more clarity and thinking maybe I would like to add this to my practice. The Emotion Code as a book by Dr Bradley Nelson is written with first hand accounts and with enough instruction that you can learn how to work on yourself and your family and friends. I did decide one morning after re-listening to a part of the book to try to see if there was a single emotion in my sore neck I could release for myself. And it worked. Be Healthy. Stay Healthy. Massage. www.kimdeering.com/blog This is the lemongrass story. Sometime in 2010, G and I both ran into articles about lemongrass. Lemongrass sounded great. Lemongrass can heal infection and support the over all general good health of the body. G has had chronic bladder infections for years. I bought four good teas that have lemongrass in them. Stash Meyer Lemon, Stash Lemon Ginger, Twinings Lemon Ginger and Presidents Choice Lemon Ginger. Using four tea bags, one from each tea box, the tea was steeped to full strength in an insulated "go cup". G drank it at 8pm. The next morning she found that the urine was not cloudy for the first time in a very long time. This was the start of getting a healthy bladder. G continued to drink the very strong tea three times a day, every day. She added the Bells Lifestyle Bladder and Yeast Infection blend of herbs (also available at our local health food store and Riverside Drugs) to the daily routine. And still to this day, G has not had any recurrence of the tell tall sign of cloudy urine. She takes one capsule of Bells Lifestyle Bladder and Yeast Infection to maintain her bladder health and to support not getting up in the night. Lemongrass is an amazing healer. It is a known medicine used to prevent the growth of some bacteria and yeast, relieve pain, reduce fever, muscle cramps, headaches, stomach ache and the more serious inflammatory bowel disease. There have been studies that show lemongrass has a positive effect on staphylococcus and streptococcus. Lemongrass will fight cancer by causing cancer cells to self destruct without harming healthy cells. The lemongrass essential oil is an antifungal, antibacterial, antiseptic, febrifuge, antimicrobial, analgesic, antidepressant, nervine, and invigorates and strengthens the body. When I feel the first slight scratch to my throat I brew up very strong cups or many pots and drink tea until I feel better. I find it usual just takes the day or a few hours to feel better. My favourite four teas that I drink three large cups every day are Stash Meyer Lemon, Stash Lemon Ginger, Stash Mellow Moments (Very nice smooth tea with Holy Basil/Tulsi. Will talk about tulsi in another article.) and Stash Cascade Mint or Stash Morrocan Mint (both have spearmint), both are often difficult to find in this town. It is a necessity for me to have a tea with spearmint. I talk about spearmint in this other blog post. And yes I do put all three tea bags in one cup. Very strong and very healing. No, you do not use the tea bags again. A fresh set of three tea bags in every cup. Yes that is a lot of tea. And yes it does keep me healthy. No you do not need to drink it hot. If you wanted to give it to children I would maybe not use the spicy ginger and just use only the lemon myer from Stash. Stash teas are foil wrapped to maintain the freshness of the herbs. Stash is available at most stores and online shopping at well.ca and amazon. I think it is a win win for you, me and the tea companies. The tea companies blend teas to taste good. A good tasting tea is easy to drink. The right tea will aid me in my need to be and stay healthy. "Put on the kettle for tea. I drink to our health." Be Healthy. Stay Healthy. When personal anxiety piled on to presentation anxiety I needed a little help. I used what I learned from the acupressure course, the wrist point and the foot point and then looked up in the book, The Concise Book of Acupoints by John R. Cross, for what else to use and also understand the instinctive actions that I had been witnessing in other people. The following is my list of calming points to try when anxious, fearful, over-done, and just need five minutes for the calm and peace to come in. I have used them all and have demonstrated to anxious clients how effective they are when held. All points may be tender if they need attention. Hold points for two minutes to make a good connection and start the desired action and hold five (or more) minutes longer to keep the calming action active. Press at the out side base of thumb nail or as in the picture, along the wrist while staying in line with the thumb. To find the thumb nail point, roll your thumb until you find the tender point at the out side base of the nail. Hold for two minutes and feel the calm come in and flow across your chest. Grasping between the thumb and the index finger. Relax your hand and hold. Nice relaxing hold to calm the stomach and release headaches. This point is not to be used when pregnant. Three or four fingers from the crease of the wrist. Middle of inner wrist and deep to the tendons. The point will be tender. This press looks like you are casually holding your wrist. If you have many butterflies fluttering in the stomach, nausea is getting worse, try an air sick band and place the button on the spot. This is my favourite calming point when I have to talk in front of a crowd. Place a thumb and finger on both sides of the thyroid. Swallow and you will feel the thyroid, similar to seeing the adams apple movement on a mans throat. I have witnessed this point being grabbed. And I am sure you have seen persons just placing a hand across the front of the throat unknowing of their actions that they are holding the calming points. You have probably seen someone holding the back of their neck or head. The edge of the hand or thumbs are resting up against the baseline of the skull holding the calming points. When I am massaging and pause to hold these points to release muscle tension of the neck and calm the body I have often heard comments that the client feels like they could go to sleep now. Place your hand on your chest with your thumb and index finger touching matching points on both sides of the breast bone and close to the clavicle/collar bone. You will feel a slight depression in the spot for your fingers to fall into. You have seen this move done unconsciously on people trying to settle an emotion. I believe that the body is trying to reach the points to help bring calm in and release the excess emotion off the chest. Place both hands on your back holding your last ribs. Just inside the body is your kidneys and adrenal glands. Holding these points will calm the production of adrenalin, calm the nerves and allow the muscle tension of the body to release. Sitting with a heating pad resting over the last ribs is also good. Or use a magic bag (two minutes in the microwave, fifteen minutes on the twelfth ribs). Hands work best to hold this section of points that calm the nervous system. Sit like a man with your ankle across your knee. Place you hand across the ankle resting on the leg. Your hand is covering calming points on the inside ankle. This point shares the same meridian line as the points on the chest. On the bottom of the foot below the line of the pads of the metatarsals. Press and hold this centre point. This point is on the same meridian line that connects with the ankle point and the chest point described above. When the emotion has progressed into fear and anxiety this point can be held with an air sickness band with the button on the point. There is one other action point that I also like for panic. Tapping the chest right at the breast bone.
Thank you to everyone that gave their permission and willing allowed me to photograph their favourite calming point in action. Be Healthy. Stay Healthy.
